Blue Dragon Light by Gewalgon Blue Dragon Light by Gewalgon
It's a drawing for my wonderful friend :icongraetth: & my way to thank him for all.
It shows a blue dragon with a light ball. It's a symbol for his bright shining big heart.
His wonderful heart....

Thank you for your great friendship,
Thank you for your treasures,
Thank you for being here,
Thank you for being yourself,
Thank you for all, my blue dragonheart! ♥

Such a stupendous job! The pupil-less eyes and lack of visible mouth add in to great effect that this creature is not of our world. The tentaclesque curliness on the tail, wing tips and cheeks however, I've seen some like that in Jak 3 and Ben 10, but all the same they provide a feeling of high spiritual connection and that this dragon's power is a great force to be reckoned with. The only thing i'm uncertain about is the front hands, they seem slightly webbed or something. BUt i suppose that adds to effect in a way. The shading and proportions are quite adequate and it is shaped with grace. How I'd love to meet something like this!

An entrancing dragon from the aether… He is a Dragon of Light, a dragon of Majik, and a dragon of Heart. A stunning intensity permeates forth from the deeply set gaze of this blue dragon. His aura pierces the soul of all those who dare to look upon him. It is said that only those who accept the unabridged laws of the universe can summon him. A pure liquid energy pours forth from his heart, and this light asks a question: Is your heart true? He need not battle the enemy, for they will be crushed by the weight of their own contravention. His silence speaks more than words. Yet when he speaks, the strength of his voice is magnificent; a mere whisper will raise mountains from the earth. A single glimpse from his resplendent eyes will amend the soul. He holds the universe in his hand, the shadow of the dark moon in the other. As his wings swell, they touch to the four corners of the earth. And his flight invokes the great northern wind. He is beautiful like lightning, and constant as the northern star. He sees all.

I love everything about this Blue Light Dragon. The way the magical tendrils float about his glowing face is fascinating, as if lightly brushed by a cosmic wind. It draws you in; it pulls you to his gaze… how deep, how stern, how piercing... His bodily proportions are direct and well set. He sits firmly in place as if to say; “this is my turf”. The hooks of his wings are beautiful, and the tips match the talons nicely. Two gorgeous curved horns are lined with a polished glow. They are beautiful, and we can see that they are cast from the sternest of stuff. This dragon demonstrates strength and valor in his pose, which I enjoy very much. His face expresses a tendency for ingenuity. This is also a very smooth “skinned” dragon. With mostly large and flush scales, we see he is a fast dragon; while both in the air and the water. I love the way his wings and tail both curl at the end; to me it is suggestive of a genial and artistic disposition. Oh how fascinating this beautiful and radiating thing which he holds in his hand; the centerpiece besides the dragon. It gives many suggestions as to its properties, yet still leaves us to question. What he holds in his hand is a perspective. And it is a perception only known to the beholder. There is something about your style which prompts giddiness in me. It is very real and raises great imagination. The proportion of detail gives us a complete fullness, yet still leaves us with a beautiful simplicity. Overall, this piece is well balanced and beautifully crafted. It is a lovely dance of blue glow, Majik, and shadow and has been shaped with both thought and skill. In the eye of This beholder I see no need for improvement.

Out of a scale of 1 to 10 I rate this as an 11. Not only is this a great work of art, but it is a masterpiece of the mind and soul. And that this is a gift for me!!! I could not ask for something more splendid! In a world that is often bought by the dollar and the pound, a gift of the heart is a treasure indeed. I was astonished and thrilled to receive this as a gift from you. And I cannot thank you enough. Your friendship means more to me than words can write. It is rare to find a person of your quality, and I know a good friend when I see one... a keeper, and a friend for a lifetime. We read each other as an open book, just as true friends should. My thanks, my gratitude, and my respect go to you dear Betti. They go to you as an amazing person, and as a remarkable friend. And I will forever hold true to our bond of friendship. With much love and respect I say thank you, and well done.
